The $125 million William and Linda Frost Center for Research and Innovation is an interdisciplinary building housing three distinct colleges namely the College of Science and Mathematics, the College of Agriculture Food and Environmental Sciences, and the College of Liberal Arts. This new 102,000 square foot structure encompasses four levels and includes facilities such as a total of 20 laboratories, a technology center, studio space, classrooms, faculty offices, and conference rooms.
Earth Systems conducted a comprehensive geotechnical engineering investigation for the project. Our team is actively providing grading observation services to ensure the site is suitable for development and to mitigate geological hazards that could potentially impact the integrity of the structure.
Earth Systems scope during construction include testing of reinforced concrete, shotcrete, masonry, structural steel, and high-strength bolting.
