A ribbon cutting was held on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 for the South San Luis Obispo County Sanitation District Wastewater Treatment Plant Redundancy Project in Oceano, CA.
Earth Systems provided materials testing and special inspection services for this project. The project involved the addition of two activated sludge aeration basins, a new secondary clarifier, pump stations, waste activated sludge thickeners, and blower, electrical, and motor control center building, yard piping, site improvements, rehabilitation of an existing secondary clarifier, a new generator, and associated instrumentation/electrical systems. Earth Systems’ scope of work included soil and foundation inspection, rebar and concrete placement inspection, masonry inspection, shop fabrication and field welding inspection, anchor pull testing, and bolting inspection, as well as associated materials testing.
