Ojai Valley Community Hospital
Ojai, California
Earth Systems provided services for the Replacement Continuing Care Center at Ojai Valley Community Hospital in Ojai, California. Earth Systems conducted a geotechnical engineering and engineering geology study for the project, which included a new 27,500-square foot building, a new paved entrance road, exterior flatwork, and underground utilities. The new structure was primarily single story, with one two-story section.

The geologic study provided evaluations of the general geology of the site and surrounding area, seismicity and seismic design, potential for fault rupture and seismic shaking, liquefaction potential and lateral spreading, landslides and rockfall, and flooding. Geotechnical recommendations were developed for site preparation, grading, excavations, utility trench backfill, foundations, retaining walls, concrete slabs-on-grade, and asphalt and PCC pavement.
