Earth Systems conducted a geotechnical engineering and geologic hazards investigation for this project. Aspects of the new facility included detention ponds, various storage and operations buildings, recycled water tank and adjacent calcite filter and pump station, an effluent pump and SAFE systems, a membrane bioreactor, holding tanks, retaining walls and associated pavement, flatwork, and utilities.
Following subsurface exploration, geotechnical and corrosivity testing of soil samples collected, and geotechnical analyses on the data obtained, Earth Systems provided recommendations for site preparation, grading, utility trenches, foundations, slabs-on-grade, exterior pedestrian flatwork, retaining walls, HMA and PCC pavements, and drainage and maintenance. Earth Systems provided continuous geotechnical engineering observation and testing and groundwater monitoring.
