Earth Systems provided a geotechnical engineering report for the Closter Park Revitalization project, which included construction of a 10-foot wide fitness loop, fitness stations, new bleachers at a sports field, new and relocated restroom, concession, and storage buildings, amphitheater-style seating, a relocated water fountain, a farmer’s market/multi-use space, a gazebo structure, bioifiltration/water quality treatment areas, and pervious paving.

Earth Systems’ scope of work included a site reconnaissance, subsurface exploration, infiltration testing, laboratory testing of soil samples, evaluation and analysis of field and laboratory data, and preparation of a geotechnical report. The report addressed site preparation and grading, soil expansion potential, and groundwater, and provided geotechnical criteria for design and development of the proposed improvements.
