Earth Systems conducted a geotechnical engineering investigation for the Betty Ford Center located in the City of Rancho Mirage, Riverside County, California. The planned developments to the site consisted of renovating existing residence halls, the construction of a new cart house, the construction and renovation of a front door area to be located between the existing admission/nursing and observation/stabilization buildings, and the construction of a new RDT/Institute building.
Site development included renovation of the four existing residence halls, clearing and grubbing of vegetation, site grading, building pad preparation, underground utility installation, street and parking lot construction, construction of a new cart house, the construction and renovation of a front door area and concrete driveway and sidewalks placement.
Earth Systems updated the soils report and provided supplemental recommendations. During construction, Earth Systems was retained to provide grading observation and testing and is currently providing similar services for ADA improvements.
