Earth Systems provided a preliminary geotechnical engineering report for a proposed skatepark located just north of the Imperial Highway (I-90) within an off-ramp loop in the Watts community in Los Angeles, California.
The project plans entailed installation and construction of concrete slabs, ramps, stairs, and walls as well as other perimeter hardscape, landscape, and site lighting. During construction, Earth Systems performed geotechnical observation and testing, special inspections, and materials testing.
Following grading observation and in-situ soil density tests, recommendations were provided for foundations, slab-on-grade construction, and retaining walls.
