Earth Systems Senior Engineer Renee Morales was a panelist at the 2025 Silicon Valley Women in Engineering Conference, hosted by the Charles W. Davidson College of Engineering at San José State University. This event marked the 11th annual gathering dedicated to promoting, advancing, and empowering women in the workplace and community.
As part of a five-woman panel of engineers, Morales spoke to a crowd of 60 community college students about career opportunities in the engineering field. “It was a great opportunity to share advice and wisdom—to show them what women have done and that we, as panelists, are an example of where they could be in 10 to 15 years.”
She emphasized that they belong in this industry and that they can achieve their goals. “I think a lot of students took away great advice,” said Morales.
