The three-level parking structure is adjacent to the San Clemente Student Housing on the Santa Barbara campus of the University of California. The structure is of post-tensioned, cast-in-place concrete construction utilizing concrete shear walls. The three levels are above the ground level slab-on-grade. Attached to the east side of the structure is the central plant, a single-story building of masonry construction, used for electrical/mechanical and maintenance operations. Two exterior ramps are included. Earth Systems performed a subsurface exploration, laboratory analysis of soil samples, geotechnical engineering and geologic analysis, and development of recommendations for foundations, grading and sitework, pavement and flatwork, AC pavement sections, shoring, and drainage around improvements. Earth Systems also provided recommendations for construction observation and testing.
