Santa Rita Elementary School is a new 50,000 square foot elementary school constructed on the site of an existing school, which was demolished to make way for the new buildings. The school consists of five classroom buildings and a multipurpose building. The multipurpose building acts as a cafeteria, gym, and a theater.

Earth Systems conducted both geologic hazards and geotechnical foundation recommendation reports for the project. Construction recommendations included foundation recommendations for a retaining wall to protect structures adjacent to the project and the stabilization of soft subgrade soils in the paved parking areas. During construction, quality control testing for site development and foundation construction were provided, as well as inspection and testing for structural concrete, shop and field structural welding inspection, structural masonry inspection, and glued laminated beam construction.
