Earth Systems performed geotechnical evaluations of potential new sites for the relocation of Oxnard High School. Geotechnical considerations included liquefaction potential, high groundwater, and compressible on-site near-surface silts. The new high school was constructed on a 50-acre site of former agricultural use. The complex comprises 11 one- and two-story buildings of wood-frame, steel moment-frame, and concrete tilt-up construction. Also included are a stadium, bleachers and an Olympic-sized swimming pool.
