The Teleport project for the Satcom site at Camp Roberts comprised the installation of two 9-meter and two 16-meter satellite dish antennas plus three equipment shelters. Supported by 18-inch thick, 22×22-foot mat foundations, each 9-meter antenna weighs approximately 10,000 pounds. The 16-meter antennas are supported by 3.5-foot thick, 36.5×36.5-foot mat foundations and weigh approximately 72,000 pounds. All are adjustable on their foundations. The equipment shelters are of pre-cast concrete construction supported by cast-in-place concrete perimeter footing and pre-cast concrete slab floors. Installation of associated utilities was also involved. Earth Systems services provided:
- soils engineering investigation,
- geotechnical engineering report with preliminary geotechnical recommendations for construction,
- certification of grading and backfill of the foundations,
- compaction testing,
- footing excavation observation,
- concrete compression testing,
- inspection of reinforced concrete placement,
- inspection of epoxied rebar and anchor bolt installation.

Spherical EHF Antennas, Camp Roberts, California
Three spherical EHF antennas and an equipment shelter were installed at the Satcom site at Camp Roberts. Constructed in a row with approximately 30 feet between them, each antenna is supported by four caissons. The caissons are connected by deep grade beams, with a nonstructural concrete slab cast between the beams. The equipment shelter is constructed on a cut and fill pad, due to the natural slope of the site. A cantilevered masonry wall retains the cut. Earth Systems services provided:
- soils engineering investigation,
- geotechnical engineering report with preliminary geotechnical recommendations for construction,
- certification of grading operations,
- concrete testing,
- and inspection of rebar and concrete placement.

Teleport Project, KA-Band 9.1-Meter Satellite Dish Antenna, Camp Roberts, California
A 9.1-meter KA-band satellite dish antenna was added to the Satcom site at Camp Roberts. Supported by 3-foot thick, 23×23-foot mat foundations, the antenna was designed to accommodate winds up to 125 miles per hour. Earth Systems services provided:
- compaction testing,
- footing excavation observation,
- concrete compression testing,
- inspection of reinforced concrete placement,
- and inspection of structural reinforcing steel.

Teleport UHF Satcom Antennas, Camp Roberts, California
Two UHF antennas and associated utilities were installed at the Camp Roberts Satcom site. The antennas are supported by a 2.5-foot thick, 3.5×3.5 foot mass foundation. Earth Systems services provided:
- soils engineering investigation,
- geotechnical engineering report with preliminary geotechnical recommendations for construction,
- concrete compression testing,
- field inspection of rebar and concrete placement.
