Along with geotechnical engineering services, Earth Systems offers the highest quality soils and materials laboratory testing services available. Our laboratories are equipped to perform tests on soil, concrete, asphalt concrete, aggregate base, masonry, reinforcing and structural steel, structural wood, fireproofing, roofing, and high strength bolts.
We maintain certifications of our laboratories with the Division of the State Architect, California Department of Transportation, AASHTO Materials Reference Laboratory, the Cement and Concrete Reference Laboratory, and the United States Army Corp of Engineers (project specific basis). Additionally, several of our Southern California laboratories are approved as testing laboratories by the City of Los Angeles.
Our laboratory equipment is calibrated annually and the calibrations are traceable to the National Bureau of Standards. Trained geoprofessional technicians and/or inspectors conduct testsin accordance with ASTM, Caltrans, and other appropriate laboratory standards. We follow the protocols of an in-house Quality Assurance Program that meets the requirements of oversight agencies such as DSA and AASHTO.
