Senior Level Geotechnical Engineer, San Luis Obispo – Earth Systems has an immediate opening in our San Luis Obispo, California office for a senior level geotechnical engineer. Responsibilities include preparation of project proposals, marketing, client interaction, geotechnical engineering investigations, analysis of field and laboratory data, preparation of geotechnical reports, observation of construction-related grading and foundation construction, and other duties. California PE license a must; GE license preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in the geotechnical field; familiarity with materials testing and special inspection a plus. Geotechnical Engineers/Geologists/Construction Inspectors – Earth Systems has immediate openings in our Hollister and Fremont service areas for geotechnical engineers, project geologists, experienced soil technicians and construction special inspectors. Responsibilities vary by position and generally include field work-related to soils engineering and construction, logging of test borings, observation of grading activities and foundation construction, identification and sampling of construction materials, and/or special inspection of concrete, masonry, and steel. Geotechnical engineer candidates should have, at a minimum, a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and California registration as a PE or GE. Geologist applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in geology and field experience in logging test borings and soil/rock classification. For technicians and inspectors, qualifications should include some of the following:  nuclear testing gauge, ACI, ICC, DSA, or AWS certifications. Hours may vary week to week.

Senior Level Geotechnical Engineer, Ventura – Earth Systems has immediate openings in our Ventura office for a senior level geotechnical engineer. Responsibilities include supervising staff on projects, preparation of project proposals, marketing, client interaction, geotechnical engineering investigations, analysis of field and laboratory data, and preparation of geotechnical reports, observation of construction-related grading and foundation construction, and business development. California Professional Engineer license and Geotechnical Engineer license required. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in the geotechnical field; familiarity with materials testing and special inspection a plus.
