Tolosa Winery Solar Array project included the construction of approximately three acres of tracker solar panels. The tracking solar panel array utilizes a light gauge steel frame system that partially rotates with the angle of the sun. The panels and drive system are supported by cast-in-place drilled piers. An equipment pad was also constructed to support electrical equipment.

Earth Systems provided a geotechnical engineering report for the project, addressing such items grading criteria, recommendations for types and depths of foundations, maximum allowable bearing capacities, subgrade modulus, expansive soils and mitigation as applicable, and 2007 California Building Code seismic criteria. Earth Systems also conducted sampling and testing of the soil for evaluation of corrosivity and provided quality control services during construction.
