The Salinas Aquatic Center is a public swimming facility within a natatorium at the Sherwood recreational complex. The Aquatic Center features a 75-foot square by 12-foot deep pool for the City of Salinas. It contains appurtenant mechanical and storage rooms, a reception/lobby area, offices, locker rooms and restrooms. The building utilizes pre-engineered aluminum and steel structural elements along with conventional wood framing and  translucent polycarbonate panels. The roof is supported by a truss system and has operable panels.

Other site improvements include a new entry plaza, a patio, parking, sidewalks, and landscape. A future water slide and spray pad are planned.

Earth Systems conducted a geotechnical engineering investigation for the facility and provided construction observation and testing services that included special inspection of concrete, structural steel, shotcrete, masonry, and wood framing.
