The Orcutt Road Widening Project involved the widening of the right-of-way, the realignment of the Bullock Lane/ Laurel Lane intersection, and the construction of a shallow detention basin on the south side of Orcutt Road. An ISA was performed by an Earth Systems certified engineering geologist. The purpose of the work was to evaluate potential hazardous substance concerns related to a proposed widening project. The ISA screening process involved regulatory agency database research, and a site visit to ascertain current conditions. Results of the ISA indicated the potential for environmental concerns. Subsequently, Earth Systems conducted drilling and sampling services. Soil samples were analyzed for the presence of heavy hydrocarbons, metals, and asbestos.
